Now, Ima take a wild guess and say y'all played Half-life 1, 2, and possibly the episodes. If you havent, get a better comp and buy em.

Who do you think G-Man is?

What does he want?

Where is he from?

Because the G-Man is a term for a federal person, aka FBI and such, we've assumed he has something to do with the counter-essence of Black Mesa in some way.

We've all seen him in the games, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Ep. 1, Ep. 2, etc... I believe he's monitoring you. That's pretty obvious to say the least though. Notice how none of the enemies seem to care about his presence. My question is: "Are you the only one who notices the G-Man?" And in Half-Life 2, the Vortigaunts are displeased when he appears. Thus ignoring my question. If the Vortigaunts sense him yet the Combine seem to ignore him, I wonder if he is an all greater power that you don't know about yet, and may be in any case, that of an evil one.

It's a good tactic for VALVe to use to keep players interested and keep playing their games, despite the insanely long releases :p. I hope they will give us a storyline behind him soon, because its killing me. *Note that there really is no true facts about the G-Man besides all that you can see in game.

I haven't played HL much but supposing they notice him in the second one and not the first is there any chance its just an upgrade in the AI over the years that they decided "Lets make them react!"? lol, just a thought, i'm clearly not very credible in this discussion, Sad

In Sven Co-Op, if you look at a G-man, the creature info lists his name as "Government Man." Other than that, I have no clue.

No actually. At the beginning of HL2, where the top of the Citadel is exploding, the G-Man walks up to you while you are "slipping from reality" with Alex Vance. The Vortigaunts are also there looking at you. As the G-Man comes up, they turn around and look at him and block him with some type of force field. He then just stares at them and says, "Oh, we'll see about that..."

You should play the games to stick to the storyline and understand some of the issues brought up. Its a crazy storyline that I find addicting.

Most of you seem to be forgetting that eli vance also knew about Gman. when alix vance says to her father "prepare for unforceen consiquences", he has somewhat of a panic attack, and sends her from the room. he then proceeds to hint that he knows the gman, but died before he could further clarify.

Gman also appears to have metaphisical powers. This can be taken up as a rallying cry that he is a powerfull metaphysisist, due to his ability to controll the world. It would not be hard to assume that he is then something brought from another dimention, which would explain his powers over the metaphisical "other side".
