Ah I played that game for a a couple weeks but my trial period ran up. I was pretty close to paying for it but the comp I had at the time was pretty shabby and lagged a bit, generally when I was like trying to mine stuff, but it was a while ago tbh. Have you ever played air rivalz its a rpg plane type game with plane and character progression, I was into that for a while but there was a lot of grinding. I mean the grinding could actually be fun at times because its never the same battle your in combat maneuvering your plane and stuff but it got a little to repetitive for me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmzRi7vkf_w A real video, the ones above were for "omg what?". And sandals, mining on a trial account = "this game sucks" try it again, I'm captn blackbeard Wink

I used to be in IAC (the people who they were killing) left them after they went to shit, and after the leader stole hundreds of USD in in-game assets.

It looks really beautiful man but that's the problem, even with this new lappy those graphics will be pushing it pretty close to the line..

*Edit* Is it actually 20 dollars a month? that's pretty steep.

20 to for first month, 15 the rest of the time, if you do what some people do and make enough in-game money to buy gamecards you can play for free. and for the graphics, I can't use the new engine (I'm sad) and even with the old, 150+ man battles I lag badly, even with 60+. Ain't a WoW thats for sure. Wink

Yeah man in a 150+ man warzone I'd have like 5 fps... And that's a pretty steep price for a loan project. Or do the creators belong to a company with several game titles?

I take HoltK's word for it. A N.E.R.D needs it's own first hand resources.

It appeals to certain people and repules others. It's a game that you like or don't like, all opinions on gameplay. It really is a good game if your into it, there's a counter for a counter for a counter attack and the balance between ships and races is well thought out.

Sounds like it has its ups and downs, but if I want subtle tactics and quick reactions ill reinstall the legendary SC.

The learning curve on sc 2 is going to be ridiculous. Intense tactics and game mechanic understanding will be required to make your skills known in that game.

P.S. I liked the RTS warcrafts so don't diss them! Diss WoW instead.

I don't like eve online because you don't actually DO ANYTHING.

You say to ship "fly here" and it flies there and 20 minutes later you're there. Then you say to ship "Kill this thing" and it flies around and kills this thing. You have NO direct control over your ship and the sheer amount of waiting you have to do to get anything done is retarded.

That combined with the fact that there's no way to share quests (at least there wasn't when I played) with friends makes the game hurfey.

Man, as soon as I got the trial for that game, i knew it was boring. The game felt more like a spreadsheet than an adventure. Everything went so slow, and insurance, don't get me started about insurance. Graphics were neat, but its space, SPACE, where everything looks alike and repetitive.

Exactly my point.
No matter how bad or good it's going to be. It'll be better than EVE.
Even if they release a Starcraft II package with a EVE CD in there.

Stop flaming EVE, the game has a shitty slow start, shitty tough time getting into it, and shitty fun in trial which is why a majority of people don't like it. when you play for, a month you are able to use more weapons, ships, missions, and maybe even PvP (player versus player). It isn't a kiddie game like WoW where there is 1. no risk in dying, 2. 90% of players are under the age of 12 and 3. NPC run. As I said it's all opinions.

Asking someone to stop flaming a game you like, and ending by flaming a game others like. Is kind of hypocritical ;-)
